About Me

I am an experienced counsellor in private practice since 1995 having completed advanced level training in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I work with individuals and when appropriate couples.

My referrals come from previous clients and a range of health professionals and colleagues, including psychiatrists, cranial osteopaths, acupuncturists and skin specialists.

I have been working with the Pembridge Villas Medical Practice for over 6 years.

I have specialist expertise in handling crisis and trauma-related problems. This stems from my work with the Homeless Health Counselling Team, which I created and managed for Westminster PCT, until 2007. My project won the National BACP Award 2005 for the most innovative scheme in Britain, for the Advancement of Counselling & Psychotherapy.
(My picture on the front page was taken at the national award ceremony.)

My homeless counselling group, as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team subsequently won the National Health & Social Care Award 2006.

I completed an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Supervision in 2006 and this allows me to supervise other counsellors and groups. I myself have ongoing supervision to ensure I offer a continued high standard of counselling.

I facilitate group sessions of reflective practice and clinical supervision for a number of organisations. I also run workshops; advise, train & lecture to a variety of other National agencies.
